Phoenix Homecare Norfolk aim to provide Domiciliary Care and practical support to people with a wide range of disabilities enabling them to achieve their potential and maximise their independence whilst remaining to live in their own homes.
We aim to provide a level of care and support which respects and protects our Service Users privacy, dignity, confidentiality and individuality.
Phoenix Homecare Norfolk was established in 2011, and is a joint venture of Irene Bailey and Allison Hipkin, with Allison as the Registered Providers.
Their background is in the care sector and have a wide range of experience and knowledge of the care profession, having worked in this field for over three decades.
Within their experience working in Domiciliary Care they have come across the need in Norfolk for the provision of high quality care and support as Norfolk County Council Social Services has transferred all people needing Continuous Care from Department In-House Service into the private sector.
This motivated Irene and Allison to set up a care agency named Phoenix Homecare Norfolk with the aim of providing and maintaining an excellent standard of care for all.
Phoenix Homecare Norfolk has obtained its Registration from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and is accredited with Norfolk County Council. Provision of care will be available not only to Norfolk County Council, but for Self Funders, Personal Budets and Direct Payments users. Phoenix Homecare Norfolk will maintain cover for all care staff in times of annual leave and times of sickness.
All staff either employed or facilitated through Phoenix Homecare Norfolk by are DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked and POVA (Protection of Vulnerable Adults) checked. If employees have not already obtained NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care they are encouraged to do so within their first year of employment with us.
All our care staff have received mandatory training on GDPR, Food Hygiene, Lone Working, Moving and Handling, Protection of Vulnerable Adults, health and hygiene, infection control, first aid, fire safety, and Specialist training is also available.
Allison Hipkin, Registered Provider of Phoenix Homecare Norfolk, and also the Registered Manager for the company.
Allison’s background is predominately in the care sector and she has a wealth of experience in the care profession having been employed by Norfolk County Council in various care positions for the past 23 years.
Allison became a Registered Homecare Manager in 2007 and managed various Districts for the councils Homecare Service including North Norfolk, Southern and Norwich. Allison holds a Registered Managers Award NVQ at Level 4.
Irene Bailey, also the joint Manager of Phoenix Homecare Norfolk.
Irene holds a Registered Managers Award NVQ at Level 4. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the care profession also being employed by Norfolk County Council in various care positions for the past 22 years.
Irene became a Homecare manager in 2004 for the Southern District. She was also the Senior Care-Coordinator for Broadland District and for the Departments Out of Hours Service. Irene became a Registered Manager in December 2007 for the Western District and also managing at times other Districts including North Norfolk.
